Located just 20 minutes from Las Vegas\, this is a well known location for many large special events during the year. \nThe “BCBF” is a mid-sized festival planned for to 2000 beer lovers and guests to enjoy selections from over 30 brewery tents & trailers\, 10 food trucks\, 20 specialty vendors\, brewing demonstrations\, beer lovers games and live music stage all on site to make this a fantastic day! \nOnce again\, Boulder Dam Brewing Company is the official host brewery! \nThe BCBF will run from 1pm until 6pm. At the Admission Tent you’ll receive a wristband and BCBF souvenir glass for unlimited samples of all the great beers available! The event is open to the public to visit the vendor tents and food trucks\, but you must be at least 21 years old with the official wristband and glass to enjoy the beers. Please note: No outside food\, beverages\, coolers or personal tents are allowed! \nLike us on our Facebook page to keep up on the latest information for the BCBF… \nVIP tickets purchased here in advance are $60 for early entry at 1pm\, or $45 in advance for the 3pm general admission time\, until March 27th. After that\, a limited number of tickets will be available at the event for $75 VIP and $60 GA until we reach capacity. \nChildren and pets are welcome during the festival as long as they’re kept on a tight leash! Additionally\, all parents\, guardians and masters must be responsible for any “natural occurrence” that might happen because of excitement. DESCRIPTION:With the success and popularity of the annual Beat the Brewer\, SNAFU will now hold semi-regular all-day potluck event for members\, family\, and friends. The focus is on homebrew and camaraderie. The club has jockey boxes that can support nine taps\, and many members also have their own jockey boxes. \nMembers are encouraged to bring a keg\, even if it only has one gallon\, to attach to a jockey box to create a long list of homebrews available to sample and discuss. Growlers and bottles can also be shared\, and if you have a special commercial example to share that is also welcome\, but the focus is homebrew. Bring a Homebrew\, a dish to share and a bathing suit for the heated pool / hot-tub. \nThe next SNAFU Mini-Fest will be Saturday\, November 16th\, 2024\, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM\, at Jason Chechik’s place in Southern Highlands. \nIf you don’t already have Jason’s address\, please reach out to any SNAFU officer and they will give you the address. When you arrive at the guard gate on the day of the event\, make sure to mention that you are there for the SNAFU event and they should let you in without any trouble.

DESCRIPTION:Purchase Tickets Here\n\n\n\nJoin us Saturday\, March 30th\, 2024 for the 10th Annual Boulder City Beerfest to be held at Wilbur Square Park in the heart of historic Boulder City. Located just 20 minutes from Las Vegas\, this is a well known location for many large special events during the year. \nThe “BCBF” is a mid-sized festival planned for to 2000 beer lovers and guests to enjoy selections from 35+ beer tents & trailers\, 10 food trucks\, 20 specialty vendors\, brewing demonstrations\, beer lovers games and live music stage all on site to make this a fantastic day! \nOnce again\, Boulder Dam Brewing Company is the official host brewery! \nThe BCBF will run from 1pm until 7pm. At the Admission Tent you’ll receive a wristband and BCBF souvenir glass for unlimited samples of all the great beers available! The event is open to the public to visit the vendor tents and food trucks\, but you must be at least 21 years old with the official wristband and glass to enjoy the beers. Please note: No outside food or beverages are allowed! \nLike us on our Facebook page to keep up on the latest information for the BCBF… \nVIP tickets purchased here in advance are $60 for early entry at 1pm\, or $45 in advance for the 3pm general admission time\, until March 25th. After that\, a limited number of tickets will be available at the event for $80 VIP and $60 GA until we reach capacity. \nChildren and pets are welcome during the festival as long as they’re kept on a tight leash! Additionally\, all parents\, guardians and masters must be responsible for any “natural occurrence” that might happen because of excitement. By now you should have a decent handle on carb/sweetness/booze levels of mead. If not\, no worries\, we’ll help you get up to speed. \n2:00PM \nThe main event of this mead meet is a BJCP cat M3-M4 mashup. These are spiced\, fruited and spiced\, and specialty meads that do not fit neatly into M1 or M2. Here we’ll talk about balance\, intensity\, and how age and ABV play with specialty ingredients. We’ll do a scoresheet run through focusing a little more deeply on navigating the dreaded “Overall Impression” section. \nThen we’ll set a day\, time\, and place for the final. We’re capping off the 2023-24 mead extravaganza with a mead making day. \n3:00PM \nBeer – Oh yeah\, we also occasionally do beer at SNAFU. Here’s what’s on deck. Scoresheet critiques\, head count for the year\, and what we want out of the upcoming classes. Bring cats 18 and/or 21 if you have them = American Blonde\, American Pale Ale\, IPA. \nGeneral judging tips\, tricks\, hacks will be offered\, time permitting. \nWe’ll wrap it up with an open session including random ethanol fueled ramblings. What are we doing? Why should we deeply evaluate? How do we encapsulate the true nature of a thing? Can we ever really know anything? If not\, is everything we think we know\, at best\, tangential? \n \nThis event will be held at James Gurdison’s house. DESCRIPTION:The Monthly SNAFU Meetings take place on the second Friday of the month at Aces & Ales\, rotating between the Nellis and Tenaya Location. The meetings start with a small social time at 7pm\, with announcements starting around 7:30pm. After club business has been handled\, we have a small break of social time for sharing your homebrew\, then the raffle commences. \nMost meetings have a brew buddy bucket as well\, where you may add your name to a bucket to be drawn at the end of the meeting\, and you are paired up with a brew buddy to do a collaboration brew day! Doesn’t matter whose equipment you use\, where you brew\, what you brew\, or even who keeps the beer; you just need to brew together! \nRaffle tickets are available to purchase\, or you may bring some commercial beer to be entered into the raffle and earn some tickets that way.
